Blackbird Singing in the Dead of Night!

Hello all , and glad to be blogging again here.
There has been a lot of action around the garage lately and
I thought I'd better stop and post before Christmas gets here.
We've just added some new additions to our inventory.
Our glammy "Black Bird Stick Pins" are here just in time for those Autumn projects and Layouts.
They measure two inches in length and come seven to a package.
They actually have a bit of black sparkle to add that extra pop.
I used them here to adorn my spooky  flowered cupcake.  I had lots of fun with this and I think I might make some more.  I used Graphic 45 "Halloween in Wonderland" paper and  Tim Holtz "grunge paper" for the flowers and cup cake cup.  I added in lots of tulle and a few Prima flowers here and there.
Our Blackbirds, Grunge Paper  and the G45 paper can be purchased here or at our Etsy shop.

We have much more coming out very soon-- so stay tuned and keep creating!  Hugs to you,  Shawn
If you have a few minutes  here's the song that inspired the name for our new little birds.

No fun without "Drama"

We recently went to a 12 hour crop that was organized by a real good friend and wonderful crafter by the name of Jo. She purchased some of our flower bunches and used them on her beautiful journal that she was working on at the crop.

Jo has her own blog which is called Paper Drama and has YouTube tutorials that are a must see. Drop by a her website and pay her a visit. You are in for a real treat.

Thank you Jo for showcasing our flowers so beautifully. xoxo Garage Band Sisters

Lullaby Buds, Dove Pins, & Crystals.... OH MY

This week at TIO the theme is Shabby Chic.  And my take on it was a house shaped tag crackled and "shabbied" up... (not sure if that is a word...lol).

Shabby Chic style is one of my favorite decors. Mixed with old and new, love the soft and comfortable feel of the look. On this piece I used 3 of our embellishments sold in our Etsy store... The first 2 are handmade with love. They are our Lullabye Buds which come in baby pink or blue, and the second are our Dove pins, sprinkled with irridescent glitter. They add just the perfect touch to your scrapbook pages, or art projects, to a hat, or wherever your creative mind can take you. The other wonderful embellishment is our Victorian Chandelier Crystals, which are acrylic so take very well to alcohol inks, or just left alone. This one I used Glossy Accents and adhered patterend paper to the back of it. It's a great addition to any altered book, art project or even made into jewelry.. These can be purchased here or on our Etsy store for these and more great pieces. ..xoxo Toni

DRAGONS DREAM TIO "Heart and Soul"

When I was little, one of the first songs my mom taught me on the piano was "Heart and Soul", so when I saw the theme this week at TIO I knew I had to do something in regards to this. I made the piano keyboard out of stir sticks and the crystals hanging on the tag are from Studio Garage Band Etsy store, or you can purchase right here on our blog....TFL    xoxo Toni

Mixed Media challenge "Something Old"

Mixed Media challenge theme this week is "Something Old" and the something old on my layout isn't my mom...lol This is probably one of my most favorite pictures of my mom back in the day. She is a "beauty". The something old that is being used is 1967 movie film strip that I purchased at a antique store. I was so excited when I found this. The film strip as well as the flower used on this layout "Disco Ball" flower, both can be purchased on here or @
